Sunsweet Prune Nastar

Discover a delicious twist on the classic nastar! Sunsweet Prune Nastar combines soft, buttery pastry with the natural sweetness of Sunsweet prunes. Perfect for festive treats or healthy snacking, this recipe brings together wholesome ingredients with irresistible flavor.
Ingredients
- Sunsweet® Amaz!n Prunes, as needed
- 100 g mocaf flour
- 25 g cornstarch
- 10 g coconut milk powder (can be substituted with milk powder)
- 100 g butter
- 20 g liquid cassava sugar
- 25 g parmesan cheese
- Egg yolk, as needed
Instructions
- Beat the butter until soft.
- Add the sugar, then mix in the parmesan cheese until well combined.
- Sift in the mocaf flour, cornstarch, and coconut milk powder.
- Stir using a spatula.
- Take a small portion of the dough, flatten it.
- Add a Sunsweet® Amaz!n Prunes in the center, then cover and shape into a ball.
- Brush the top with egg yolk.
- Bake in the oven at 175°C (347°F) for about 30 minutes (adjust according to your oven).
